In the family garden, Milo, Lofty, and Lark are planting carrot seeds alongside Milo’s dad. The three friends carefully water the soil as Milo’s dad asks them little questions about what seeds need to grow. As they chat, Lark looks at Lofty and jokingly says, “Maybe if you water me, I’ll grow as tall as Lofty!” Everyone laughs. Then, Milo’s dad decides to join the joke—he steps onto the freshly turned soil where the seeds have just been planted, holds the watering can over his own head, and sprinkles water on himself. He then stands up straight, pretending to see if he’s grown.
